  SDASA Careers Day, 2008. The SDASA's 9th annual Statistical Careers Day is Saturday, May 31st in the Large Conference Room at the Center for Molecular Genetics at UCSD. [Directions]  *  The keynote speaker, Professor Nicholas Schork of the Scripps Research Institute, will discuss Modern Statistical Genetics and Genomics: Making Sense of DNA Variations.  *  The keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion, answering the question: What do Employers Want in a Statistician? We are honored to have Professor Harold Dyck from CSU San Bernadino, Dr. Arnold Goodman from Collaborative Data Solutions, Dr. Colleen Kelley from Exponent, Professor Robert Riffenburgh from San Diego Sate, and Dr. Larry Shen from Amylin on the panel.   A short course on Model Selection and Multimodel Inference, organized and sponsored by the SDASA, and taught by Ken Burnham, will be given in the Large Conference Room of the Center for Molecular Genetics at UCSD on Friday, March 7th, from 9AM to 5PM.
